So i installed my HID kit, and it looks super nice and all but when i turn on my high beams the ugly yellow returns, so i was wondering what bulb everyone suggests me replacing my High beams with to keep the clean white/blue look (without chaning any of the wires to prevent melting)?

would the "Nokya Arctic purple headlight bulbs (9005/hb3) Nok7311" be any good?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, while i was searching for this, i stumbled upon adjusting the low beams so the road could be more visable (i drive alot of highway KM's) and no one replied on a working link for adjusting it? any new links?

I know everyone just said you adjust the 10mm bolt but im new with working on cars. The step by step video instructions are my saviour, mostly because i dont know alot of car terms "yet".

If you are looking for something cheap, check ebay. I ordered headlight bulbs from "highpower" on ebay with good luck. They had that blue/white look of the HID's. I think they are around 6 or 7 bucks without shipping, and the shipping is reasonable. They also have fog lights available in the same color (H11).

Here is their ebay store: http://stores.shop.ebay.ca/hipropower__W0QQ_armrsZ1

Good luck!! Post pics when you get them installed!

Looks like those would be the right ones... 9006 is low beam, 9005 is high beam, H11 is fog light.

I noticed while browsing they even have a hi/low beam combo pack for less than $10. Thats a pretty good deal, but you already have HID's.

So since you are wanting to replace the high beam bulbs you will want the 9005, NOT the 9006! The nice thing about those is they are 100W, 5900K, so they shouldn't melt the factory harness.

I am not saying they are the best quality or brand of head light, but if you are looking for a cheap way of upgrading the high beams which aren't used as much, this would be one of the cheapest routes to take.

Hope that helped, take care!

Haha, well they shouldn't melt the harness... Since your high beams are on a lot less than the low beams you would probably be just replacing them.

They are just so cheap I think it would be worth it to try them and just turn them on the harness for about 20 minutes to see if it is heating up... I would think that if nothing heats up within 20 minutes they would be just fine. Not sure though... I just know from experience with battery chargers on high, the cables will get pretty damn hot if it is drawing a lot of current.

I would be a little worried too, but no risk no reward, or something along that line.

If you can, get some Hoen light bulbs. I have the lows and fogs and they are amazing. I'm getting the highs and license plate light next. They have the xenonmatch plus 9005 bulbs that are for the high beams and they run at stock wattage. No harness needed and no melting worries. They are super white, with a light blue tint. They are $37 US. Only catch may be if they ship to Canada or not. They have dealers around the world, maybe send them an email if your interested and see what they say.

Here's what they are:

Doesn't get much better than $15.

Even if you use them once for 10 minutes you are only out $15.

When you first turn them on just keep checking to see if the harness is getting to hot right from the light assembly and as far along the harness you can touch. I am not to sure what else to tell you. OH, and if something starts smoking, turn them off!! LOL
