hey guys on my 1992 mitsubishi 3000 gt sl is there any way to adjust the idle as my car will idle around 2k for 5 mins on a cold start??? when it warms up its aroun 800 to 1000... ive tinkered with the one near the iac a bit but found out that this isnt a good idea due to ecu damage so i was just wondering if i was able to cure the extremely high cold start idle

get a can of MAF cleaner. (mas air flow) its a can that you just spray on the sensor inside of your MAF. it cleans it off and will help smooth out the idle, maybe.

also have you changed your plugs and wires yet?

there's a screw on the front of the throttle body, I believe it's called the BISS (Base Idle Set Screw). In is lower, out is higher. Wait for the car to be fully warmed up before adjusting it. Warm idle should be 600-800.

umm i changes spark plugs back in october but as far as the wires go i have not changed those cus i believed that they looked good but i guess looks can be disceiving at times.. i will get a can of that spray and try that out and let you know from there when i get it done... just a reminder im having real hight rpms at cold start right around 2000 for bout 3-5 mins then it drops to 800 to 1000 when warm as well as a miss when its cold for some odd reaspn
