With the winter coming, I started to think about getting a proper floor mats that will fit our car best.
The floor mats I have right now are too small for the back seat and always get pushed under the front seat, I'm pretty sure everyone had to deal with this problem at some point, with the salty mess at the back seat, that looks really nasty on black carpet.

What type of mats do you use that are suitable for the back placement? Dealer mats?

I just have the OEM rubber mats from the dealer. There was a place where I saw these awesome mats though, the company specially molds them to each car. Pretty much a rubber layer between your feet and your carpet. The OEM and other rubber mats are just that, mats that end near your door seam and etc.. these though, covered everything like a mini bucket. I'll try to find a link to it, but i'm sure it's well worth the investment if you intend on keeping the salt and mud off your car.

Regards.

Those are sweet. I'm gonna pick up a set. Last year I ended up putting down like 3-4 old mats I had on each side and I still got salt on the carpet, plus they move all around. This is exactly what I need.

Thanks for the link lube716.

I was so mad at that company. I have dealt with them for a few years now & have had really good luck with everything that they sell.....
Once I bought my car I called them & kept asking them & sending in requests that they make mats for our cars & they told me that they would e-mail me when they come out & they never did.
I called once again to see if they are coming out with anything for our cars & was told no once again.....so I ended up buying the Mitsubishi OEM All Weather Mats & they pretty much stink IMO.....My drivers side is worn wear my foot sits & the holes that hold it in place have torn.
A couple of weeks later I get an e-mail from a friend on here saying that weathertech NOW has them available. That makes me mad.....When I get more $$$$ I will buy them for this car & any future car that I buy. They are that good.
Pricey....but worth it if you want to keep your carpets clean.

how the heck did u get ur stealership throw them in for free?! i wish i was more aggressive to them when we got the car =(

btw, for the driver side, did u have to take out the original floor mat in order to fit the weathertech in? coz i mean....if u dont, wouldnt it me too thick and leaving not enough space for the weathertech to go into those two hooks?

Ben:every mat is still there dude, well funny thing is.. when i bought the car i managed to ask them for an all weather floor mat, so they put it the contract but when im finally going to pick up the car, they said an all new all weather mat just came (WeatherTech) so I said "nice! thats the one I want for my car!" then the stealership said "oh no! the one you'll have is the OEM Lancer one (which is BTW front part only!!!) "i said are you kidding me?" it says there in the contract set of All weather floor mat! so I have the right to choose what kind! and it didnts speify there "FRONT" only!! blah blah blah..... they let me get the front mat!! lol but thats ridiculous coz the back would be bald! good thing online survey is handy! i wrote them a very poor feedback!! haha the next day they called and said i can drop by anytime for my gift (Rear Floormat!) haha

Not all with the ss package came with leather. I bought my 2009 in June of 2008, there was no leather option at that time. That option was added in 2009 sometime.
