Getting A Good Deal In Hids, Need Help! Options

Hey guys, my friend's friend is getting rid of his HID kits cuz his costumers blew him off and didn't go through with his purchase. $60 for a 10,000K HID kit. I am almost a hundred percent sure that it comes with everything, but just to clear things up, I have a couple questions. (Btw, I have read the DRL and HID thread that is stickied up top, but just to be sure, I thought I'd ask)

1. What exactly do I need in the kit for it to be a "complete" kit? Harness? Relay?

2. I read through the DRL and HID thread, (http://www.mitsubishi-forums.com/t31985-how-to--drl39s-and-hid39s.htm) and I am thinking about the 1st option. Is this up to date? I was reading around the thread, and people still get the flicker problem. What is the ultimate fix for that? Option #3 just seems pretty complicated, but maybe that's just me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush-anim-cl.gif)

3. If I do option 1, will the DRL still be active?

There is a guy on 9glancers that makes DRL bypasses. Jrox, he might actually have an account here. That way you can just plug it in and don't have to build something yourself. Its like $60 I think. There is also a way to use multiple harnesses to switch the DRL to the fog lights.

I see.. well seeing as I am completely broke cuz of snowboard season, I wanted to see a cheap quick fix for this haha. I don't really need to bypass the DRL; I am fine with it being on. I just don't want the issues of it flickering and burning out prematurely. Will the capacitor solution in option #1 be the answer?

I dunno. The flickering is because of the lower power to the DRLs. Some people just leave their lights on all the time.

So if I leave the lights to position 3 all the time, there will be no problems at all? Just lower life span?

Many of the DRL bypasses are two-fold applications. First is the obvious one, to either disable the DRL function or have the HID's on all the time. The second is not so obvious and may still only be incorporated into the higher end units: Hot Restrike protection. The way HID's work, the gases are ignited by a very high voltage then they are kept at that state by a steady current. It is very bad for the bulbs for them to turn off, then a short period of time later, strike them back on. I hope this helps.
