did you drive through a puddle or anything? If not check every part of the ignition system. It sounds like the coil packs right off the bat... obviously check the plugs and wires. I asked about the puddle cuz depending on what exactly you were doing, I have different answers for you.

well it could even be the battery being weak. have it tested and if its good, Id change the plugs and maybe the wires. Also the battery cables have been known to drop voltage not alowing enough juice to start. is there any corrosion? on the terminals, cables, anything? if so, it all needs cleand off, and if its bad enough, those parts need replaced.

It could be your whole distributor... Same thing would crank over but not fire up replaced distributor and started just fine. Not positive so try all the small things first....
