yeah my ECU took a shit the other day now my car is down for awhile till i find a new ECU. Anways im looking into tuning the car with a AEM FIC. Has anyone tryed tuning with that on a 420a? Will the ECU go into safe mode?

No.

The best opetion for a 420a is this:

Alos, what is done to your motor? If it is factory, then there is really no point to tune it since there is nothing to tune...


EDIT: Nvm.. just saw you were turbo. ANyway, yea.. the ECU in that link is what you want.

i already tried MS. didnt like it. too much shit involved. i used a SFMU to tune with the 440s but now im lookin into timing retard for higher boost. with the AEM FIC it does fuel & spark. im just curious if any1 used it before.

It's a good product, but if you didn't like MS, you won't like AEM at all. The interface is much more complex and alot less user friendly. MS is the best out there for the 420a hands down. If you can't use it, then I would highly recommend having someone else tune it for you as it is a much better ECU than the AEM unit and is less than half the price.
