I have a 94 RVR auto and am experiencing a problem with acceleration.

The engine will idle roughly, and when accelerated hangs for while (sometimes 30 secs or so) before increasing revs. Check light doesnt come on. Any thoughts?

Have you checked the ignition timing, if your timings way out you experience a delay before the revs pick up,although 30 secs is a little long

Dealer replaced the plugs I had put in and returned them to me free of charge.
Also said that I may want to change the leads if I have any more trouble.

Something to be said for a car maker trying hard to regain the public's trust.

Thanks for your help.

Enjoy,
steven

Change the plug leads and runs like a charm!
