im getting this 96 3000gt and everything is all good except the engine ecu. so, the guy i got it from said that i would have to replace it, but all i could find here in maui is a 95 ecu. ... i just wanted to know if it is compatible because i want to get it running again. thanks.

yeah if anyone knows it would be helpful. im tryin to sell a 99 ecu and i know its not compatable with a 92 3000gt maybe another second generation??

they will work, the 99 maybe only in a 99 idk tho cuz the 99 was a 2.5gen or 3gen however you wanna think bout it, twas a lil different, but as long as its the same gen it will work

yes. a 95 will work in a 96.

95 3000 GT was a hybrid OBD ECU year.

The 96 was not a hybrid.

91-93 was OBDI.

94-95 was hybrid.

and 96-97 OBDII

and 98-99 was a later version of OBDII.

94-95 will work with a 96-97, but you cannot go backwards.

so a 96-97 will NOT work in a 94-95.

and no one has confirmed if a 94-95 will work in a 98-99, but the connectors are different.
