skip barbers driving school. (or local equvialent.)

they have 1 to 3 day training sessions where they teach you how to throw a car around a road course (sp? - my brain is not working today...) and emergency street driving manuvers. highly recommend that you get a good instructor. you will realize how lousy you drive after 15 minutes with a professional. cars range from stock neons, to small formula cars to vipers.

the easiest part of the car to tune is the nut behind the wheel.

Check out the Eclipse section of this forum to get a better idea of what mods you can do.

But like TT said, check out a performance driving school. A good driver can win a race with a slower car, if he/she is racing a bad driver with a faster car.

exactly right this should be in the 1g-2g eclipse forum but since we are here i will tell you
1. cold air intake
2. exhaust
3. new headers
4. motor rebuild: bore and sleeve the motor new valves injectors ect.
5.TURBO or nitrous
