i just bought this car, 1999 spacewagon.
Car shake when reach 90Km/h, why?
Can some one tell me?
Is it my engine or Transmision or chassis?
Do i need to change ATF & ATF filter?
And when i first start the engine, there was some smell come out from the aircon blower, for about 30sec then it come back to normal.
I think this is mostly the ECU, the capacitor inside the ECU was damage.
Did i need to change the Capacitor only, or i have to get the Original Diode Add on Unit?

Hi William
Yes, indeed, this is a very common problem for the Chariot.
I've been a Chariot 2.4 GDi owner for about two years. Not long after i bought the car (also a recon'd from Japan) vibration started to develop at certain speeds, and annoyed me for quite some time.

After many attempts, and visits to different workshops, it turned out that it's the ATF. Just drain the used ATF, replace with 6 liter of Diaqueen SP-III, and replace the ATF filter, and you will enjoy the smooth ride again.

As to the stinking smell, i already have two occasions in the past months, and puzzled me very much. Thanks for the info, will check it out.

cheers.

Regards,
slchung

Hi, chung

After many attempts, and visits to different workshops, it turned out that it's the ATF. Just drain the used ATF, replace with 6 liter of Diaqueen SP-III, and replace the ATF filter, and you will enjoy the smooth ride again.
Is the ATF Diaqueen SP-III can with 4 liter packing or 2 liter, and how much is it?
Can i use Castrol TQM-ST ATF, it written there, it recommended for AT applications calling for SP-III fluids also. 4 liter cost RM71, and Mits ATF Diaqueen SP-III 4 liter cost RM140 here. So which should i chose?
Where can i buy k&N (33-2147), I have contact KL K&N dealer, but there don't have it. I haven't try singapore yet. Are you buying from singapore, How much is it? Can i have there contact no.?
And again for the Splitfire spark plug, I can't get it here also. So please let me known where can it buy it?
Can you help me?

Thank

william
