Cylinder #1 is leftmost cylinder when looking from the cabin, rightmost if you're looking from the front of the vehicle.

many thanks,
although a basic question its surprising how difficult it was to get an answer. As I am in UK & have right hand drive, can I just check its the cylinder near the cam sprocket & not the one nearest the distributor.
