I recently had a minor scrape low impact.Car went into bodyshop ,they replaced front wing ,wheel arch liner & bumper + indicator. since i got it back the srs light doesn't go out and keeps flashing.was wondering if anyone here would know what they could possibly have done that would cause this.the airbags did not deploy and the light was notmal before it went into the garage.any help would be grearly appreciated.garage i think are going to deny its their fault.

Well, if your SRS is the same as mine, your airbags and your seat belts are linked. It's possible that when you had it replaced they damaged what is called a "crash sensor" and it set off the light. If this is the case, take it back to them and point out what's wrong, because if you get in an accident in the front end, your air bags won't deploy properly or at all.

Or they never plugged the sensor back in. that will also send a warning to the computer. :wacko:

Unfortuantely, most bodyshops will not have a computer that will read, or turn of the SRS light in late model cars. You usually have to go to the dealer for that.

in my stealth (3000GT) the SRS light comes on if you turn the car on with out a sensor, or airbag plugged in. it will STAY on until the dealer resets it, even if you plug it back in or get a new sensor.

they can also plug a computer in, and it will tell them where it sees the fault. (ie: sensor, or what not.)

usually runs 65-75 bucks for diagnostic and turn off.

Where are the crash sensors?

If the SRS light is on, does this turn off the entire air-bag system? Or just the faulty air bag?
