Gooday all. I don't know what my L300 markets as in the US but I'm sure it's there in some form or other. It's early 80s and getting a bit long in the tooth (like its owner) but still a good performer on road and off. Apart from lousy fuel economy (<20mpg despite extensive carby overhaul, any suggestions how to improve would be welcome) I have a minor electrical problem. Low beam headlight passenger side was out so I replaced globe. Now the replacement globe isn't working on low beam either. It was okay when it first went in so I don't think it's the fuse. Any suggestions?

dude...not sure man...but it seems like theres something wrong with your wires...check to see if you can see any burns or cuts on the wires...because it seems like it keeps on shorting out the bulbs...when positive and negative wires touch each other or positive touches ground...hehehe...nothing good ever happens...well this is just a thought...could be something else too...was the bulb that you got compatible with your car? that might be it too...but then again...why would it fit? :P
