Hello,

First off, thank you for this site. I was very happy to find it.

I have a 2003 GT (V-6) and this sound only occurs in the cooler months.
Here's an example of a situation that creates the sound:

1. Start car in the morning (no strange sound).

2. Drive car to the grocery store and shop.

3. Restart the car after it's been sitting for 20-30 minutes.

4. Upon restarting the car the sound is heard and lasts for 3-5 seconds. It's moderately loud and is a bit hard to describe.

My guess is that condensation is being cleared through the exhaust system, however I didn't hear this with my 2000 GS and I'm wondering if it is normal or if it is a sign of a problem with my exhaust system?

is it coming from the rear of the car? sounds kinda like a grumbling noise?

It think "grumbling" is the best way to describe it. I do feel like I hear it under the front seat area all the way through the back of the car (possibly traveling from the front towards the back). Any clues?

fuel pump. nothing is wrong with it. its just loud sometimes. mine does the same thing. dealer said that it didn't need to be replaced
