Since everybody else is posting their awesome stories, I guess I will post one of mine. So I am out taking my g/f home tonight and I slowly pass a silver RSX with a pretty big wing on it. (4 lane road, 40mph speed limit, i was in the fast lane running about 47mph, he was in the slow lane running about 44mph). after passing him, we pull up to a red light. i am chit-chatting with my g/f and I tell her that I bet he is going to want to race. Sure enough, the light turns green, we get to the other side of the intersection, and he hits it, i don't (i'm not an ****). so he pulls about 6 cars ahead of me, then comes a railroad crossing. he slows down to like 5mph to go across it(he was very low and was bouncing pretty good). i took the tracks at about 35mph. i pass him, throw on the blinkers to signal that i have won, and he pulls off onto a side street.

my car:

'03 GT Eclipse (V6)....mods: like any of those help out with this boat.

his car:

'02-'04 RSX(don't know if it was Type S or not)....mods: big **** wing, sounded like an intake

i'm done.....carry on.

Nice Kill.

he aas lowered and bounced? like cut springs? I hate it when ricers do that... anyone who cuts there springs to lower there car should have there face eaten by fire ants.

I was headed to my girlfriends aprt. last night in the Benz. Some punk in a lowered Honda CRX (fairly square, so not a new one) with a fart can started rev-ing at me. He had his girlfriend in the passenger seat...

oh gawd.

I think it's because it says kompressor on the back, and the STOCK exhaust tip is a little on the big side that they all feel the need to rev at me.

I mean, this car is my daily driver. it's an automatic. It does not race. It's not even fast. 200hp. pffft. nothing. The stealth will make that on three cylinders.

he won by the way. kick my butt. might have been closer if I would have used the gas pedal...

But then I would have had to stop playing with my heated seats and navigation. to bad mitsu never put that stuff in the 3kgt/stealth.

who knows where the finish line was. all i know is once i passed him.....he couldn't catch up. i was only running like 40mph, but i guess his RSX couldn't handle the power of the mighty GT.

agreed. stock shocks do not have the ability to hold up when you lower the car. it puts too much stress on the damper.

How much HP does the RSX put out by the way. A kid that lives by me has a 2002 rsx type S a-spec. he wants to race my saab, but i dunno i've never had annnny expereince with acuras. the torque can't be too much on the thing though since its a 2.0 n/a

Depends on the application. I know some springs are made for stock struts/shocks, I know some specifically state to change them.

and you are retarded for cutting springs. 20 years ago, it was ok to cut springs because thats they way it was done. with todays technology, springs are not designed to be cut.

you lowered the car 2.5in? you better get air ride suspension because there are no shocks that will be able to handle that much of a drop.

well yeah i agree with you but, as soon ans i have a lil more money i'll buy adjustable ones.

a question: should i replace my shocks?: the rear of the car bounces too much.

That's because your rear struts are BLOWN. That's what you get for lowering the car 2.5" on stock struts.

I HAVE TO tell you that my car was very high it looked like a lil suv.
so the 2.5inch drop its quite decent and i donīt think that its too much. you had to see my ride before.
