I HAVE TO tell you that my car was very high it looked like a lil suv.
so the 2.5inch drop its quite decent and i donīt think that its too much. you had to see my ride before.

it doesn't matter how high you car was. it was that high because of the stock springs. your stock shocks are designed for the stock height. when you lowered it, you are putting alot of strain on the stock shocks. thats why they are blown.

should you replace your shocks? yes. which ones? don't even think about KYBs because they are only good up to a 2" drop. most other affordable aftermarket shocks are about the same. you are going to have to spend some money if you want to keep the drop that low. look into an air ride.

Yeah...that's what I was trying to tell you before. I just didn't feel like a long explanation. I blew my rear struts on my car because I lowered it too far. Lesson learned. Quickly. Want to talk about a pain in the butt (literally) when I went over bumps?

this is for race stories right.... well let me tell you about a cavlier. in my town there is a place called scalp ave. it is a 4 lane not highway, but city road that has shops and businesses all around,,, a strip some might call it.... i was going to pick up a girl I was dating and this stupid a$s cavalier piece of a$s was throwing pipes at me. it never matters what time of day,, this is the ricer road and everyone will pipe even a tri axle. so i ignore him.

i pick her up, and not more than 2 secs back on this road to get where we were going that same cocksucker was there again. so i let him have it. this was 420, built 1 point lower compression BEFORE boost with a neon R/T trans. we were side by side in first gear until my cams took over at 4000rpm. BUT when I hit third I lost a bolt from my downpipe and it gapped more than .5 of an inch from the mating surface of the header, and I lost in a 1 mile race after hitting the freeway.

i had no idea what happened until the next morn after smelling exhaust all nite.. thought I cracked a pipe or something but no, lost a bolt.

moral of the story---don't race a piece of $hit, and nut and bolt your vehicle if you plan on racing. that bolt could have been a tie rod. :57:
