Hello!
I have a question about xenon lights, is it possible to install xenon light bulbs to the Eclipse without replacing the whole light system?

Also, what kind of headlights does it use, someone asked me that there are two kinds, D1 and D2 (whatever that means).

Hope you can inform me, thanks!

yes you can replace just the bulbs without doing the whole light system, the 4g eclipse uses h13 bulb size the same as the new mustangs and ford f-150's, i havent seen any in stores yet, but you can get them off of ebay

Ok, thanks for the info! ^_^
BTW, if I want to change the fog light bulbs too, do they also use H13?

Man, this is so confusing!
Today I went to my local tuning shop and explained this to them, about the H13 bulbs, and later they call me telling me that the Eclipse 06 also can use H5 bulbs.

So yeah... very confused right now :blink:

Yeah, they later confirmed that... >.> jerks.
But they say they need to install the darn kit for it to work, and it's pretty expensive! I thought it only needed the xenon bulbs, not the ballasts and stuff.

The conversion kit they want to sell me it's the Helios HID.

I live in Mexico, so they wanna charge me $4,500 pesos (should be aprox. $450 usd) for the H13 conversion kit. I almost laugh at them.

I am trying to get it from ebay, but I'm not very sure, since I want to check first if that's what I need and of course, try it too in my car.

So now I don't know what to do. Today I asked a technician at Mitsubishi's service about the xenon bulbs, and he said I should not replace them because they might burn the whole system. Pretty confused I tell you ^^;;

Hey lara, i bought these babies off ebay and they are sweet, nice and bright and do a great job of keeping everything in site, they are quite luminescent, people flash me all the time thinking my brights are on until i give the camera flash back, they are cheap in price and they have not burnt anything up, and the bluish tinge is sweet looking too, i have been using them for about 2 months now and still running strong, 400 bucks is too much for a conversion kit when for 20 bucks with shipping does the job just fine. :)

Its a shame you can't read too well goosey, they have been in my car for two months now, and no problems, cheap yes, they work yes, so whats the big deal, say they do burn out in a month, whoopty sh-t, whats twenty bucks, nothing. What the deal with you goosey anyways, someone says something you don't like and then you place an **** load of assumptions all over the table, kind of childish, this forums for people with issues looking for problems to be solved, state your opinion and thats cool don't go running around crapping on others cause you think your better.
