Ok I have about $1000 to spend on wheels/tires and all I know is that I want to go with 18". My cars red and lowered 2 inches, and i'm wondering what rims you guys/girls think would look good on it.

you will have to get some cheap knock-off to get wheels and tires for under $1000.

if you are just looking for wheels, i got my 18" konig verdicts for about $950

With your car lowered 2 inches...will you have clearance? You might want to check your fenders, etc, before you buy anything.

Oh...well no that will help a lot then. You should have clearance. You have to remember that when you are looking on tirerack.com, etc, they don't assume you have lowered the car.

So should I go with the 35 profile tires like tirerack recommened, or go lower even?

That should work. Use the lowest profile Tirerack.com and use those. For example, the Lancer ES calls for 186/65R14 stock tires. On 16" rims, you can either use 205/45R16 or 205/40R16, or 215/40R16. On 17" rims, I can use either 205/40R17" or 215/40R17". The reason for the sizes is to compensate for the car if it's lowered or if you want wider tires. Either way, that should give you an idea on what tires to choose.
