hi,
just wondering what the approximate price of remote keyless entry + alarm system is on a 2000 lancer. Can this be installed yourself or does it require someone to do it for you, if so how much would labour cost?..
Thnx

Well if your car has power door locks, then a keyless entry system should cost you around $100 USD.

Unless you are experienced with electronics, I would not recommend trying to install the system yourself. It requires wiring diagrams and a lot of additional components (relays and such). Here in the states it's easier and cheaper to have a shop install it.

Just bought keyless for my 01 lancer coupe nice and cheap but the installation is going to be something different. My partner is fine to install it but getting the door panel off is a totally different story. Can get it all off except the part around the handel. The whole panel is so thin it seems like it will break if we try to detatch it by pulling it. Any one got any ideas for that?
