Ok completely stock 2001 Pontiac Grand Am V6 automatic versus a 1997 Mitsubishi eclipse N/T 5 speed with only AEM CAI. who has the win?

I think the Eclipse, it's manual, lighter, and the Grand Am has only around 160HP...and is heavier than hell with a slow 4 speed auto. Damn cast iron intake manifolds, heads, and blocks.

I <3 this section of the forum.

Vin deisel will pull up next to you both, tell you it's a 6g buy in, and that your not worthy. after a small bit of talking smack, 50,000 ricers will show up and paint lines all over. five hundred feet before the finish line the bottom will fall out of the grand prix, Vin will hit his hidden NAWS button, and you will sleep with his sister after losing by about half a car.

so, Vin wins, the grand prix slides off to the right, and kills a bunch of ricers, which will spark another cop crack down on street racing, and you will get some hot brunette pregnant.

everybody wins.

yay.

WOW...a Grand Prix would die, too? Not JUST a Grand Am? :bwekk:

Sorry don't mind the sarcasm...either way they are both GM pieces of crap. Damn pushrods.

I have that feeling, too, it's called effort for me, though.

I had one as rental car. We beat the piss out of it. It seemed pretty quick, for a junker car.

Haha...I almost bought a 2.4L DOHC Grand Am. Just like the V6 version, fully loaded, but with the I4. Woulda been better because the Cavalier shares the same engine and it has tons of parts. SOOO glad I didn't.

Yeah...'95-'02 the Z24 had the 2.4. The LS and base had a 2.2 pushrod (GM sure LOVES those things) and the '02-present had a 2.2 Ecotec.

The OLDER ones had a 2.2 pushrod and an optional 2.8 which was bored out to a 3.1. Talk about OLD engines...

I was skiing in Canada this past weekend and I was riding up the chair lift with these two teenagers and they were quoting back and forth this movie the entire ride up. I wanted to smack them upside the head for being so stupid.
