Hi:

It seems like the clear coat is peeling off the front bumper of my car in several spots, also around the front emblem. It only seems to be happening on the plastic areas, not on any metal areas.

I'm not too thrilled about it, especially on such a new vehicle.

My vehicle is a 2004 Outlander LS AWD, color "lofty green".

Anyone else having this problem? Is there anything I can do to stop it? Does anyone know if the dealer will take care of it?

Thanks.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

I may just wait until winter is over before trying to get it repainted..

That's probably a good idea - especially if you're in an area where they use plenty of sand/road salt.

2-2.5 more months of winter.

Yeah - but if this year you're having weather like us, there has hardly been any winter! I miss real snow!

Well, it started out looking like it was going to be a really bad winter. We got 10" of snow early in the season. But since then it's been mostly rain.

I am going around and around with Mitsubisi about this right now. The clear coat on my 03 red outlander is almost gone. A car rental place had it for 10 months, I have had it since. They are giving me every excuse, I am the second owner so I don't know how it was cared for before, has it been waxed reg. so so and so on, I am trying to find others with the same problem so I can show them its not any of these thing fust a poor paint job. I see cars from the 80's with better paint.
