Total Newbie Here...

I just got 2006 18X8 OEM Eclipse wheels on ebay for my 2004 Diamante VR-X(16X6 OEM).

Does ANYBODY know what spacers I'll need? And where to find them???

Can I run 245/45/18 with out rubbing?

Thanks in advance-

You shouldn't need spacers, because most OE wheels of the same make fit. The only exception that I know of are Lancer ES and OZ because they are both 4 lug, but different patterns. Spacers are only required if you have larger brakes that will cause it to hit the caliper. Since you are going up in size, I doubt they are necessary. Second, 245/45R18 is too large of a profile. You need either 215/45R18, 225/45R18 (which I recommend) or 235/40R18, but that might be a bit close.

Thanks for the reply.
The OEM Diamante wheels show a 40mm offset, and the new rims are at 46mm. Don't I have to compensate? Also, the new wheels are 2" wider than stock(16X6, 215/60). Shouldn't I be able fit 235/45/18s? I wanted to keep some ride comfort and go with a 45 vs. a 40. Do you think this will rub, or cause any other problems?

...and I like metal too!

Well, yes, you technically CAN use 235/45R18's, but I wouldn't recommend it because of speedometer issues. I would recommend the 225/45R18's because they will provide width for traction, profile for comfort, and your speedometer won't be off at all.

Second, the only way you need spacers is if they won't clear the caliper. I hate the use of them because it puts the center of the wheel out farther than the hub and it causes bad handling/tire wear.

Third, yeah metal rocks...in the metal way not the emo way!
