Just received my new AWD Outlander.

Would be interested to hear comments re its off road ability.

I don't want to take her up and down dunes, or forge rivers, however a run on beach sand would be nice.

Also in sand, do I leave her in Auto, or use the manual low gears?

I'm in Western Australia.

It is important to remeber this is built on a car chasis and not heavy duty truck chasis. Running around the beach should not be an issue with the AWD. I would leave it in auto....it will decide which wheel needs help and adjust accordingly. If you get stuck you would want to try the manual settings.
