Okay new thread for a new(not so new) problem. My car is having problems starting when it is cold. Even in the summer sometimes(when it is warm) it wont want to start. I give it gas and it just wants to die. Hell it takes me litarally 10 minutes just to get it to start and stay on. I put 93 octane in it the other day and a concentrated fuel injector cleaner in it but i dont think thats going to do anything. Do i need to change the injectors or whatelse could it be? :puzzled:

it is most likely your fuel injectors. after you get it running does it act normal or does it still run like ****?

I think it is the injectors...it will run like crap but then after it starts to warm up it runs like a champ! Man...just put 700 into in and now 400 more....anywhere i should look for good prices on injectors?

Nevermind. Fixed the problem. It was a sensor. And now it starts and runs like a champ...i mean damn! i can feel the power gain...the car was running in "safe" mode cause the sensor was bad. Fixed it and i was amazed at how much better the car ran.

Hey,
I am having similar idle and start problems with a 1994 eclipse 1.8l. It will not idle below 1500 rpm. The temperature gage is working fine. I have been troubleshooting this for almost a year. Is is possible to have a bad coolant temp sensor causing idle trouble and still have the engine temp gage work normally?
Thanks
