Hey, I could send you a message saying I'm legit.

The only way to check if sponsorships are legit is to actually visit the place of business.

No I meant visiting the actual place of business, not the website. You wouldn't want to be sponsored by someone half-way across the country mainly because if there are ever problems your phone bill would be astronomical.

Not Legit.

They take your application and fees and contact companies with your "Auto Resume" and see if you qualify.

They have no guarantee to sponsorship, they merely are middlemen to connect you like a talent agent.

To get sponsored you have to go to shows with a minimum number of attendees so many times a month, so many times a year, for a certain duration of time.

You have to have previous show experience that you have built up on your own, and then become accredited in it.

You have to disclose all future plans on your vehicle with what other companies you plan on partnering with.

you also have to do a complete write up on why you are a better candidate than others and how you will be able to boost that companies sales.

I used to be involved with shows and sponsors, Unless you have a trailer, a car that isn't driven on the street and allot of money and time, Big companies will not sponsor you.
If you get lucky and the stars are right you may pickup a small time local but chances of getting mainstream sponsorship are nil.

what I say shouldnt be taken as written gold,

But if you do want to do it with your GS go for it. My word is best served with examples.

Plus, Comming off and trying to discredit me without proof or examples is ridiculous. Atleast in your vinyls post I went out and found an example of why a dragon looks like **** on a car and what type of driver does it. i know I went OT there but atleast TRY to find examples to support your posts.

And considering I am the only one who has posted that has actual experience with getting car sponsors I would like to see someone here post more real info.

oh i have been there i was wondering if any one has yet to do this or if i will be the first. fire i really dont like your posts and your pic of a dragon on the car was not what i had in mind. like i stated i am an original person and make my car different. you didnt prove anything in your post her about anything.

back to the topic at hand. i have contacted Dave Goldstein one of the people involved with CarSponsorships.com and he gave me some references. not to mention i have e-mailed some of the "sponcers" they claim to have relations with and they have been verified.

Quote from Dave
"We will set you up with quasi (partial) sponsorships. This is where the company will offer you a discount lower than they sell to their distributors. All of the companies I work with offer full sponsorship, but to get one right off the bat is extremely difficult. These take time to work up to, and time to build a relationship with the sponsors.
In both cases you get the benefit of being sponsored and getting the hottest products sometimes before they hit the market.
Shipping and Installation will always be at your cost, unless otherwise noted by one of our partners.

Here is a link to our "How It Works" page http://www.carsponsorships.com/faq.html

Here is an online gallery with photos and testimonials http://www.carsponserships.com/cgi-bin/gallery/gallery.pl

These are some of the companies that we work with. Remember do not contact a sponsor direct, as they will turn you back to us.

seriously dont plan on gettgin sponsored, you wont, what you have in your car is nothing, compare to other cars out there, what you have is rice, and you realy thing that decal is going to give you a sponsor??? flamethrower?? you wont even turn your car on during show.... i dont mean to put you down, but my boy with another car (VW) has invested over 20k in his car by hims self, car looks incredibly gorgeos pushing 580whp, all polished engine bay, incredibly clean, attending almost every show, races, track events, winning lots of events, and he was trying to get sponsored, so he can get more mods, he has very good history of his car, and he was rejected by like 5 or 7 companies... very sad i just dont want you to end up spending money for nothing.....

here is the thing even if i dont get a full sponsor it wont bother me. a partial sponsor gives you discounts and thats fine with me. you might call it a ricer but a ricer are cars that work on engines as well. i know your not trying to put me down but i tend to make the car look like id like it. engine work might come later after the warantys are gone. even if i dont get sponsored fully it wont bother me just gives me more time to laugh and be like oh well your loss not mine. and my car already turns heads :)
