QUOTE(utiheadbanger @ Feb 11 2006, 01:24 PM)
WOW...ok here's my vent.

I like my job, I hate my boss.  I don't mind the people I work with, either, but I am tired of doing what I do and dealing with the crap I do for meager pay.  I just started full-time in November, I had to beg HR for insurance because my boss never called the company, and now I lose a ton of money each week out of my check because of it.  Yes, I still live at home, yes, I am sure I can dip into savings if I need to, but this blows.

I am quoting myself because in 1.5 weeks I will be working at Honda, all the way next door. I got tired of the crap here and I need a change. And, since I am considering an Si, I'd love to work on them to understand them and get a discount. Even if I don't decide on one of those, the dealership chain owns about 25 more dealers.

oh, you just sparked a b!tch with me about parking.

I can't stand when people can't park. it's fine if you are crooked in your space or facing the wrong way, but i HATE when people take up two spaces. whether they go over the center line or cross two side by side lines. so what i do...... .... my car is primer right now so I don't care about paint or dings and I park RIGHT beside someone invading spaces laterally(as close as I can get to the driver's door so they can't get in). if someone parks over the center line I pick the way they want to escape and park there as close as possible, sometimes touching, their bumper cover. I LOVE to **** with people that are stupid or think they own the world.

I think I have a real driving/parking problem and should have myself checked. but i LOVE to pi$$ people off when they are dumb :gunsmilie:

When I went to UTI in Glendale Heights, IL, I only had 4 classes to go after the one I was in. There was a newbie student, he had a brand new 2005 WRX STi that his parents bought him. He used to park in the SAME spot everyday right outside of my lab and his lab (they were in one HUGE combined room for all the electronics classes) and watch his car whenever in lab. Well, one day he took up 2 spots. His teacher told one of his classmates to park as close as he possibly could without hitting his car. The guy parked on the driver's side, and we stood and watched the guy crawl into his car from the passenger door and move it about a foot the other way. The guy came back and was almost crying. We had a good laugh at that one.

That doesn't sound like the kind of job I would want to work at. You should have gone to the funeral and let the chips fall where they may.

Parts guys at dealers only look at parts and part numbers. It is up to the techs to troubleshoot there own cars. If you are a customer wanting info the on how to fix your car doesn't it make sense for the dealer to make you come in. If your are the dealer.

Amen. Some parts guys went to automotive school...some know jack crap. That's why when guys want to fix their own cars and ask for advice from parts guys, then they come into the dealer and get pissed, they shoulda let the dealer fix it the first time.

sorry for your loss. that is fucked up but at least he didn't suffer. some people in this world (ie idiots) are lucky it is illegal to kill them. it is one thing to get pulled over for speeding outrageously (good job though haha) it is another to hit a human being and lie about it with out any remorse.

i hope everything works out for you.

btw **** your boss that is heartless
