Talk to your old boss about the situation and see if he can't match your current pay.

you are in the same situation I was after college. obviously, I LOVE building anything that has any kind of mechanical workings. But it didn't pay as much as what my degree was in. so I took the "fluff" job. I've advanced since then and am making alot more than I would have as a tech. However, my DREAM is to make enough money to start my own performance shop. I just love creating.

An engine that comes to me broke, and I rebuild it,, then hear it fire for the first time is like giving birth. (not taking away from what women do with ACTUAL birth). It's just something I will always love. even though I enjoy my job, I would much rather be dirty and under a hood all day, every day. I still get to race, which helps, but it will never be enough.

if you can afford it, and your wife supports it, you have to do what you love. otherwise, you are drifting through life

it's like lancaster county. no one knows how to drive here. cops sit EVERYWHERE so I try to go 68-70 in a 65. but since no one can maintain speed they are either going 60 and making me slam my brakes or 85 and getting pulled over.

they drive in packs too. and the same thing when it "snows". except this time its either 30 or 80 and they are wrecking in 2" of snow??!! what the Fuk is that? 2 inches??? you should be ashamed to wreck in 2" of snow, no, you should be SHOT if you wreck in 2" of snow! if you can't drive in 2" of snow and control your awdfuckin vehicle you should be drug into the street and shot! fuckinidiots
