I'll back you up on this one.
I had my car the way I wanted it. body kit, painted, lowered, turbo'd. then winter came and DESTROYED EVERY PIECE OF FIBERGLASS ON THE CAR. No big deal I am pretty good with bondo and fiberglass. so I fixed it and primered it before winter. AND THEN WINTER FK"D IT ALL UP AGAIN!. so I fixed it and primered it, looked better than ever before.
sit down this story might take a while.
I took my car into the shop at sears where I work on the side. I needed 2 tires put on it. since I swapped a 5 speed into it i decided that "who needs a neutral safety switch? I don't need to waste time with wiring." I wired in a switch to the solenoid on the starter keeping the key ignition operation working normally. (I think you may know where this is going.) The car was put down and I went to drive it out before I finished closing. I always leave my car in neutral and yank the ebrake. when I start the car if the window is down I reach in, turn the key, and flip the switch,, vroom she fires up. HOWEVER, this time was different. the car was in gear and the ebrake was not pulled. One of my friends/co-workers walks in front of the car on his way out. I reached in, turned the key looked up and flipped the switch. VROOOOOOOM POW BANG TING TING TING!!!!!!!
yes, needless to say the car took off with me hanging out of the window. LUCKILY missing my friend, SMASHING into a center post tire mounter, CRASHING into stacks of seperated wheel weights, EXPLODING hundreds of wheel weights into the air only to land all over my car while it tried to run through the wall, and BLOWING OVER a wheel balancer 6 feet to the right. I, with a stunned holy **** look on my face, heard in the back ground someone say, "glad that wasn't my car.
I picked up as much pride as I could as I pushed the car away from the wall, center post, and wheel balancer only to watch the front bumper fall to pieces. My manger turns to me and says, "do you want your job, or your car fixed?" Again, swallowing my pride and some tears over the hours of work I had into repairing the bumper year after year reached down and TORE THAT MUTHR FUCKER OFF with the fury of 12 silver back gorillas and HEAVED it into the garbage dumpster!!!! I drove it around for weeks with only pieces of front bumper left until I found a beat up old stock talon bumper to just toss on until I replaced it.
the only good thing is that I get to get dirty repairing my car, and,,,wow i do feel better :nahrung034:

WOW...ok here's my vent.
I like my job, I hate my boss. I don't mind the people I work with, either, but I am tired of doing what I do and dealing with the crap I do for meager pay. I just started full-time in November, I had to beg HR for insurance because my boss never called the company, and now I lose a ton of money each week out of my check because of it. Yes, I still live at home, yes, I am sure I can dip into savings if I need to, but this blows.
My car is slow. It has some minor things I need to repair but because of said job I can't afford it. I have almost no extra money to spend. But, I suck it up and realize in 2 years I will buy a new car.

this might not be a vent, but it is kinda funny/upsetting to the person it happened to. A guy I grew up with, and is actually engaged to my cousin, just got his SRT back from slowboy racing. He was dyno'd at 376 WHP @ 5750 RPM and 386 lbft of torque @ 4249 RPM (stock clutch, he has an ACT to put in and will easily hit over 400WHP). No more than 1 week later he tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL), medial meniscus, and stretched his Lateral Collateral Ligament (LCL). He underwent surgery this past friday. He has driven his car once since he got it back due to the rocks and salt on the roads because of winter and living in pennsylvania. He is not medically allowed to drive for 6 weeks after he starts his physical therapy next monday the 20th. This means he won't be able to drive his car until April. In PA the roads are normally good enough to bring out your good cars mid march. All he wanted to do was blast into spring with his newly beefed SRT and surprise people. bad luck, could you imagine getting your car back near 400WHP and not being able to drive it? sucks for him, we bust his ball$ about it though,,, you have to

QUOTE(ib1lildvl @ Feb 15 2006, 06:38 PM) Yeah I feel the need to vent a little this afternoon. I think these past two weeks have quite possibly been the worst in my life! If its not work its at home and if its not at home its at some random place and time something seems to happen. It does not look like it's going to be getting any better any time soon! <_< Puer BULL $H*T I tell you. :( I'll stop writing now because I could go on for pages right now......... I don't know how anyone else feels, but there is a ton of space :57:

QUOTE(FortyFiveAfter @ Feb 16 2006, 10:46 AM) Ok mine isn't as bad as a car getting fucked up. But here it goes. For the past 7 months I have known that my mom has wanted to Divorce my dad. So halfway through November last year, she left him, and came down to Tennesse. Of course my **** got ******* screwed because she left me behind and took my brother. Over night I was told to make the decision of who I had to live with. Of course I say my mom, because my dad is a pompous ****. So when I told my Dad that I would go down to Tennessee with my mom he started to cry. Yadda Yadda Yadda, 2 hours later my parents make up and we end up moving down to Tennessee. The Ways I Got Fucked: I still have to live with Dad. Tennessee is Boring And now I have no car because it had to be sold. dude that sucks it can only get better though

seems like things are always pissing me off when I drive. I had to pass someone using an on ramp because 2 assclowns were riding side by side on the highway going 50!!!!!.
The other thing I hate is people that STOP on an on ramp that is a MILE LONG, don't use their turn signal and almost run you off the road when you have to pass them on the right because they can't push their right foot down far enough to make their pile of $hit go faster than 45.
I won't even get into city driving OLD PEOPLE AND WOMEN CAN"T DRIVE.
disclaimer: not all old people and women can't drive, and yes some men can't drive but in my experiences with these near accidents and frustrations 80-90% of the incidents involved old people and women/girls talking on their cell phones, doing their makeup, and sucking their BF"s off in the car while they drive
"thenick" thanks for this topic, i helps me feel so much better

The second thing is true, too, because a lot of women (NOT ALL) like to talk on the phone or do makeup while driving. I have seen men, though, READING THE PAPER while they are driving. You are supposed to focus ON THE ROAD. As far as old people, I think in the United States it should be MANDATORY for anyone over the age of 65 to get tested at the DMV once a year, no matter WHAT.

QUOTE(utiheadbanger @ Feb 24 2006, 05:30 PM) I also wish that there would be laws EVERYWHERE concerning people driving with distractions, IE cell phones, make-up, newspapers, etc. there is SUPPOSED to be one in PA. if you are driving and a cop or trooper see's you on your cell they can legally pull you over and cite you, just like not wearing your seat belt. but they usually don't want to be bothered. too much hassle and paperwork they also made it illegal to drive in the passing lane for a predetermined distance without being in traffic but don't inforce this either. it is supposed to alleviate the problem of slow movers in the passing lanes
