Well it depends what you mean by "best".

These two cars are pretty much in the same class. It's all about opinions. Some will say the Nissan is better, and others will say the Ralliart is the way to go.

I'd go with the Ralliart, because my neighbor has a Spec V, and he's had nothing but trouble with it. He had to get a new engine at 30,000 miles (it was covered under the warranty), it had something to do with the catalytic converter crumbling internally and getting sucked back into the engine and frying the rings. Well, at least that's what he told me.

The Nissan may be quicker, but I haven't compared the specifications.

Take it for what it's worth.

Yep, the Sentra has more standard (and available) features.

The Lancer weighs over 200 pounds more. Has a smaller engine with only a single overhead cam. 13 hp less than the Sentra.

The Lancer is more expensive ($700).

They are pretty close, so you'll have to drive each and decide for yourself which is better.

I know all about the Sentra problems. A guy I work with has a 2005 SE-R Spec-V and he has had a few problems with it already. Plus, I don't like the GIGANTIC Nissan emblem in the dash.

I own a 2005 sentra specV. The car runs beautifully and I haven't had any problems with it yet. Except that it got rear ended. Not the car's fault. The 2002-2003 specV's had lots of problems. The 04's and up don't suffer from the same problems as the 02. Most 02's that you find are lemon's

One more bit of info. The 04 and up spec's are faster than the 02-03's. Tweaking of the gear ratio's and a re-tune on the ecu.
