Since this seems to be an Int'l Forum, just wondering if anyone has any information on availablity of any aftermarket (beefier) Sway Bars aka Stabilizer Bras aka Anti-Roll Bars?

The OEM items seem like token stuff... so wimpy... only about 10-12mm thick (guesstimation, I didn't actually measure it)

I reckon before I start to do suspension mods, controlling the (excessive) body roll would be my priority.

Cusco doesn't make them it seems...

Anyone know any manufacturer who does?? Or anyone already found and using one??

Please share your information.

Thanks!!

im not sure if its the same as in the US outlanders, but we cant get any due to the placement of our brake fluid resivour.

Im thinking that someine had used a lancer kit, and it came with something to move the BFR. I think the aussies have one as well.

Hi Punisher,

I think you are refering to thr Strut bars... the Airtrek Turbo has a strut bar but it come with a tube spacer & longer bolts to lower the Brake Fluid Reservior out of the way.

What I am refering to is the stabilizer bars.... that's at the bottom of the car linked to the shocks.

Cheers,
John

Punisher, there are strut bars available for the Outlander. I'll be installing mine as soon as It comes in from powdercoating. It's a single bar, but it's better than nothing. This is a custom bar from RRM, if anyone is interested let me know.

www.roadracemotorsports.com
They don't have them on their site yet as they do not have an Outlander section, but you can get the phone number off their website and call and ask for Rob. You can see what it looks like at my cardomain site at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2397781
I also got my header from them and an underdrive pulley.

Hi !

I bought a set of Evo 8 Enkei wheels, I got a set of worn 235/45r17 Bridge RE050A tyres with it ( stock tyres of the Evo ). I put it on the Outy, after the car goes thru the corners as a rocket. ( stock rims is 6,5" wide the Evo is 8"' :-DDD ) I get back an other car, no body rolling :-) driving like an Evo, with any good and bad property. I will try the car with the Geolanders on the Evo rims because with the wide tyres on bad roads the car is nervous, and the /45 tryes is little bit small :-D
The Gforce meter is showing 1,25G .

Front swaybar solid 26 mm rear swaybar solid 16mm. Have you tried replacing end links because they seem to go prematurely, better known as (Japanese desease). I replaced them 3 times before 60000km. I now have gone to a better design. Both front and rear lower control arms are already pre-stamped to accept double bushing end links. Whiteline has a set KLS075B that can be used in the front and back( Single eyed at one end and double bushing at other). But I recommend a strait end-link with double bushings at both ends for the front it worked better for me. ( 3 inch long or so ) mine are 3 1/8. I will have pictures soon in my garage. My suspension is now stiff and noise free. Oh yes if you can replace the rubber bushings on the frame inside the U clamps with polyurethane, that also helps but transmits slightly more road noise to cabine.

I got an answer from the Ultraracing about the prize of the rear anti roll bar and front upper bar :
"Thanks for your enquiry, air trek rear ARB 19mm is USD120 ,front bar is USD
60 and shipping fee is USD100. You can make payment via paypal"

But I dont know anything about the quality of this product...
