well, it could be sevral things, give us more info on your car.
stock/moded, rebuilt or not, mileage.

heres a short list of things to check

injector connections (the plugs itself)
these can be faulty, dry rot and make a bad connection.

ign. coil
resistence should be 10.0 ohms or more across -/+ terminals with key on.
if not replace it. spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor

altenator
if it doesnt charge 14.4 or more while running, replace it. these cars wont run right if voltage is below this.

power wires
check your ground wire conections and positive wire connections.
use caution when replacing vacume lines. use a razor blade to cut the old line connections to avoid braking any plastic nipples.

vacume lines
starquest cars wont run right on leaky vacume lines
size: 7/64" of an inch.

fuel pump, filter(s) these cars have 3 of them
replace all 3 @ same time. air filter as well.

hope this lil bit of info helps you find or narrow down your problem.

yes there is a injector resistor, located on the radiator core support between the passenger headlight and the air can.
check it for resistance, if it shows resistance its not that.
i dont know the ohms value but a dealer mechanic might can tell you.
check your

vacume lines (if you have to replace, size is 7/64 of an inch)*
boost solenoid (located on air can lid)
ign. coil.
ignitor (between coil & strut tower driverside)
pick up module(inside distributor)
vacume advance(on distributor
ECU (worst case)

* dont use anything larger as certain items wont have vacume to operate.
let me know what you find

also if you have replaced the injector clips its posable to have crossed the wires or have the primary plug on the secondary injector.
or if the car has sat up for a while check the injectors for stiking or gumming.
i use a small 9v battery to check for function (audible click when connected to the battery) if no click is heard soak the injectors in rubbing alcohol for a few hours to clean off the dried gas inside.

I'd say fuel pump...

I had the same issue... connected a rich/lean gauge and a fuel psi meter... the problem was that the car runs fine under 3k rpm... this is when the primary injector is working... but when the seconday injector opens (around 1.000cc) the "fuel rail" if u wanna call it that way went lean... the injector dries it... so try a new fuel pump (BMW or MErcedes will work). Run for 55 - 60psi and it should be fine.
