Well I was contacted by a local shop about them using my car as a development test horse. I was planning on going all show with this one as it is such a beautiful car, but I am a speed freak too. My only issue is that I can only afford to go one route right now. Plus if it is in the shop doing development work than I have less time behind the wheel. What do you guys think, should I go for looks and leave the mechanicals stock or should I go for speed? It is a reputable shop, they have some very fast cars there, a 10.9 sec 1/4 mile fwd talon a 9 sec 1/4 mile gsx

they want to see if it will respond better to a single turbo set up or 2 smaller turbos, intake manifold, limited slip diff. they also want to develop a destroker kit for it, so they can raise they redline on the motor. I am not all that familiar with the actual physics involved or anything. although before I let them break into the engine in that extreme I would definitely do some research.

Sounds like a good idea to me but I think if they give ya some kinda Contract/Warrenty in ink that it won't Blow Up for at least a year you should be fine.

It were just bolt-ons no problem but going inside a block is serious Biz!

Just my 2 cents

I forgot to mention that they want to take some measurements and see if it is feasable to put the evo mr drivetrain into it similar to the eclipse ralliart concept That mitsu has at all the shows. It would not go in mine, but if they think it would be a workable swap then they would buy one themselves and go for it.

Just make sure if this happens that they will repair anything that might go wrong.

There would be some sort of contract, with a clause in it if I decide to go forward with this in which they would have to return everything to stock if I am not happy with it.

I can't wait for my airbags to come in for the pt. I ordered them last week. so yea I have a beater to drive until its done
