be carefull , 2 days later, my cousin got hit by a street racer while he was getting out of his car, at 148 mph, its not fun, the racer was drive the same model color car as i have, it ripped the car to pieces...my cousin, dead...

anyways i have a GS raced stock RSX regular, raped him by 3-5 cars (i am stock)
raced RSX type S was raped by 10-15 cars :)
raced 240SX simple modes, won by one car lenght
raced VW1.8 T apr cip, intake m75 valve, devertervalve, exhaust, was raped by 6-10 cars
raced Scion Tc, with exhaust, with one person in my car was raped by one car lenght, raced him again by my self in the car, so as he, by burning my clutch won by 2 cars, have it on video

so far that is all i have raced, i have most of it on videos I will try to post it at the later time, i need just to do some editing on it :)

lol I get alot of revs when people come along half are street and half are drag strip
but the funny thing is I got hit driving home form work not even speeding. So sadly to say my car is in the shop but when it comes out Its going to be nicer than before. Oh ya forgot to say already got 2 tickets so watch out cops dont like the 06 eclipse that much its a stand out of the crowd. Also the dragstrip were iam is only 1/8 mile so the eclipse quick accelaration with 2 cam usally beat car it would loose in a 1/4 mile. If u know trees well, also u think 120 insane lol i got the eclipse up to 140's on the guage but i found out the chip holding the engine back there some sort of choke when it hits 140's but there working on hacking the chip to bypass that. a company wrote that and are trying to brake it as we speak. So guys and girls who have the GT welcome to 150's+ soon. =)

Well, i didn't race my 4g cause i dont have one :blush-anim-cl: . but my 1g turbo has stomped all over a couple 4g gt autos

Another time I was in my G/F brothers 944 Turbo, and it smoked a 4g GT manual

lol... i might have believed one or two of your "wins" until i read this one. how the hell did you beat a 2005 eclipse turbo? please explain to me in great detail how the race went down.... then when you're done explaining it, explain to me where the hell you found a 2005 eclipse turbo. then after that, you can hang your head in shame and cry yourself to sleep.



are you familiar with this crazy little thing called physics? hate to break it to you, my friend, but there's this newly-discovered phenomenon called air that tends to get in the way when you're travelling in a car.

just wondering but how does physics get involved. most cars have a chip or governer (not sure about spelling) that will only allow you to go so fast. most 2000 and under U.S. cars can go up to about 110 then they kinda slow down a little.

as far as buypassing the chip to go over they make a raceing chip to change out the one you have that goes over. but im not to sure about who has done it nor if you really want to unless you plan on just raceing your car. but thats just my 2 cents

Met up with an Evolution V/// yesterday. Very sweet ride, didn't race him though cuz i had my pops in the car and with the beautiful weather there was a cop every block.

Would have loved to give it a try tho. I don't see many of them on the road, who knows when my next chance will be. Probably at the track. :unsure:

physics applies to every thing a car does. EVERYTHING.

In this case, the horsepower the engine puts out must fight against several factors to acheive a given speed. These include power loss in the drive train, rolling resistance of the tires, and probably the single biggest when your talking speeds in excess of 100 mph, drag. the biggest problem is drag is increased by a square as velocity is increased.

Does latest gen eclipse have enough power, and a good enough drag coefficent to hit 150? I don't know.

Also, "most cars 2000 and under can only go 110 and then slow down a little" ??? It has nothing to do with model year. nothing. that is all I will say about that.

But I would also question a few of those races, so who knows. anything can happen on the street. A bad driver can make a fast car slow.

Lol i live in a city in florida where theres alot of import and musle cars, On a local friday night you'll see a good amount of tunner's on the streets who just drive around and race people. I was at a turn signal. Turning onto a local highway that goes threw town. When the 2005 eclipse turbo you could here his blow off valve and my window was down, pulls up next to me and revs when the light turn it was on. I had the inside so i had the start advantage, And with the 06 eclipse accelleration i started to pull ahead then his turbo started to kick in and we were reaching 135-145ish there was light traffic and we didnt really go faster than that since it was a local highway. The 06 eclipse accelleration made it easyer for me to wip around cars. For some reasone with all the torq steer i was pushing ahead about 3-5 car lengths when we were going to pass a major intersection then we cut off right before we went threw the intersection. I ment the guy later the night at the movie's and the funny thing was it was a girl with a sweet as turbo set up. I say if it wasnt for the turbo lag she could of had me but the torque from the eclipse gt is insane. But sadly enough iam sellin my 2006 eclipse Gt for a faster car.

lol sorry don't mean to be a d*ckhead just sick of people crying on this thread about street racing. ohhh my brother mother dude i knew died. sucks for him. not everyone has access to a race track behind their house. don't want the attention don't buy a fast car or in ur case a car that looks fast **cough** Mazda Miata **cough**. As for myself i use extreme caution when i race and don't race in cities. Keep it on the country roads, WATCH OUT A SQUIRREL!

the thing is, at a track your both signed off, and have safety crews.

on the street, around a corner, now something like a peice of scrap metal that just fell off the honda infront of you gets up in your tire, and now your into the other person.

Or, your own ingenious (not saying "you", just using "you" and "your" as general terms to apply to someone who works on there own cars in a ghetto sort of way.) of cutting the springs to lower your car backfires when a shap end blasts through your "home-made coilovers" and suddenly your front tire is whobbling like my uncle Terry at an all you can drink special. Now your into her car, and it's solely your fault for altering your ride...

I got an old story kinda sad kinda funny! I was racing a V6 turbo regal 80's model I had a 80's model Monty Carlo (Mines was semi used V6 300,000 mi on the OD) anyway from a light the guy makes a left turn very fast too!
I pursue very slow, well the guy got down the street which is a Blvd. he runs right into a Spanish guy who had on a huge cowboy hat backing out of a driveway in an old p/u truck (could not see the guy because of the huge hat he had on) totals out his car and the p/u truck took off!!!
I came up to the guy in the regal he screems "CATCH THAT GUY!!!!" but my car had a problem with the Modulator in the Transmission so I lost site of the guy I wished I got his plate at least :(

I almost forgot about that story but it goes to show how something like street racing can get out of hand if ya not carefull :thumbsup:

Not knock'n ya guys have fun but please be carefull I don't wanna have to do paperwork and fill and explain to the DOT what you did to wind up under my company's rig :)
