I just recently purchased a 2001 mirage and receive an error thats reads E 01 whenever I try to play a cd. I have tried using a cleaning disk and it didnt help at all. I didn't get an owners manual with the car so thats why I am asking for help. Do I need to put the security code in???? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Is it the factory Player?? have a look and see if it has a reset button? and push that.Just send me some details on the make and model.
I brought a CD player for my car and it displayed ERROR 1 and wouldnt play the CD but Radio worked i sent it away 2 get fixd and turns out wires must have touched wen i put in it and reversed Polarity.
