Hi fellows:

I have a doubdt with the use of the automatic transmision of my 2000 Mirage DE. It has the following functions that I dont know when to use or what are they used for. They are L, D2, D3 and D. I dont have the user's manual, so that the reason Im asking this. :grin:

That's just another way of displaying the gears. L=gear 1, D2=gear 2 D3=gear 3 and if you just want to drive it normally leave it in D the tranny will shift the rest of the gears automatically for you.

mmm so, you ca actually drive like in a mechanical one, shifting gears??? another qiestion, when you are in D, and you reach a trafficc light in red, do you have to change to Neutral or just keep D and hold the brakes???

this is my first automatic car, Im used to drive only mechanical ones

Yes, you can drive by shifting from one to the other, but you are best advised to leave it in D. No, you don't have to change to N at a red light. Just leave it in D.
