Just a word to the new kids, don't believe everything you see and hear! Don't fall for the "miracle chip" that boost your car 503 hp,it dosnt work that way. An engine is like a human,it has to breathe, the better it breathes, the more it can run(therefore more power). So basic bolt ons like intake, exhaust, and headers are pretty much basic in any street bruiser. You can start getting into the engine when you are experienced more or when you think its time for more power, then you can get cams/pistons/rods/all the goodies!

Just a little feedback to something I noted on page one. I have the O2 ES and its got Dual overhead, so vendetta I'm pretty sure you have dual overheads since your running the 03 ES, and as far as I am aware mine is stock. Oh and Lancer RallySports I am pretty sure your right about the 4g94, because as far as I was aware thats the stock engine in a Lancer(not the evo of course), it was the stock in mine.

I have a 2002 lancer oz but it is an automatic... are there any mods I can do on this? If so are there any suggested ones to be done first? I read in a previous post in this thread the cold air intake won't fit an automatic... Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

First a little about my car: I bought yesterday a 2003 OZ Rally without doing homework. Big mistake. Looked good, sporty, and only 20K miles, etc... I don't race (2 kids), I like a little performance but my main goal is a show car.
K, Read the PDF file, read the replies, but the questions that I think every newbie like myself would like answered are:
1. What is the possible high end HP for a Rally OZ? Before Turbo and After?
2. Got it, intake, exhaust, headers, etc. How much horsepower will you gain on each step. I now it is dependent on what brand, but average between high end and low would be suffice.
3. For the show side, having a little trouble finding a good site for atermarket styling mods. Any ideas?
Thanks for the help...

If you are thinking in putting a turbo in your car, it will be a very small one, you may be able to put no more then 10psi of boost. Also this car has a small engine, i believe 16 valves. What you wanna do first is make sure is worth putting a turbo on it. I recommend a t3 or t4 small turbo for you car. you are gona need strong valves, connecting rods, pistons and crankshaft. A very good cat back exhaust and high flow catalytic convt. Go with and intercooled system for serious cold flow and a big waste gaste for the turbo.
Remember if you put a turbo on this car, it will no longer be able to pull 30mpg, and will also reduce life of ur engine.
