I have purchased a 2006 Galant DE. I am wanting to install cruise control but am not having much luck finding a aftermarket kit. Anyone got any ideas.

doesnt the car come stock with it?

I ask, because you CANNOT just install cruise control. Your car has a drive-by-wire throttle. The throttle is fully computer controlled, with no mechanical linkage whatsoever.
Im pretty sure all galants have cruise factory installed because of this.

According to the Mitsubishi website, the Gallant DE doesn't have cruise control.

you're correct, it doesnt.

if in fact it does not (and im still not 100 percent sure of that), the fact remains that you cannot add a generic aftermarket cruise control unit to this car.

add cruise to the car!
Has to come from factory

yes, thats true.
its due to the "drive-by-wire" electronic throttle control.
