Hi, Ive literally just bought this delicam, which is a jap import, and i love it to bits....i have one probelm though, ive taken out the japanese stereo that was in there, and replaced it with one that i already owned. The problem now is that the stereo doesnt work, along with the central locking, clock, speedo, mirros & lights warning alarm. anybody any ideas on what ive blown here...im hoping somebody is going to tell me its just a fuse....by the way, im not in possession of a manual yet, its in the post.

I had a similar problem and it was the fuse actually. I replaced it and everything worked. If you have 2 fuse boxes like i do (one being under the hood and one in the car) check all the fuses because it maybe one fuse throwing everything off. When you take off the panel for them is should have a map telling you what each fuse is.

I have the same issue also, can anyone help, I like have two fuse boxes as mentioned by midnight, but I don't know which fuse could possibly be throwing it out, I have a Lancer 2004 VRX.
I installed a Kenwood system, looked up the audio cable layout's on the net, and all seemed correct as we tested them (9 volt battery to see which speaker was which with the crackle) and they matched the outlines I had.
Now the audio system doesn't seem to have any power, the clock above my hazard light switch doesn't work, central locking doesn't work (until the engine is running).
The air con works, all my driving lights work (the interior light I am unsure as the bulb is blown anyway).
I checked what fuses I thought may lead to the problem (the radio fuses 10 amp) and they didn't appear blown but I couldn't get into the fuses for radio in the engine bay, as there was a yellow bracket around them and I couldn't get it undone.
I'm after basically an idea at all as to what fuses might pinpoint the issue.
It's soon my girlfriend's car, so I wanted her to have it in perfect working order... this has really given me the s%$ts.
Any help appreciated... thanks
Steve

who cares if the clock isn't working? your radio has a clock right? anyways, just run a separate wire from your acc wire from your fuse box to your radio. that will then jump that lousy dash clock which is hooked to a internal amp box that is under your dash.(most likely the reason why yoru radio doesn't work is that during installation you caused a arc within the dash clock burning out the internal amp they don't last forever you know.)

then you can take out the dash clock all together and put in a piece of black plexi-glass. just go to a nearby junior high or middle school and ask the shop teacher if you can buy some 1/8" thick plexi-glass. you then heat it up in the oven at about 140 degree's for about 10-20 minutes and form it to the shape of your dash clock console. then cut off the extra. mount the retaining clips to your new console piece. and pop back in. no more lame clock, and your radio works just like it is supposed to o.k.?

next question please!!!!

Fixed the problem, was a blown fuse under the hood. Works perfect now.
Bullet_Bike - had I taken your advice it would have wasted time... You really didn't reply anything useful at all, so I see no point acting as if what you said was some wise answer and then move onto "solved I'm brilliant, next!" I wanted some real help, not a waste of time baking things to put in my car. The fact is, I want it all to work, what is the point in doing a job and not doing it right? - leaving things and cutting a few corners or doing extra work not needed.
Not to mention as I stated, central locking doesn't work... so I would still need to do more work again.
Thanks to midnight, I tested all fuses and found the blown fuse.
Cheers

I had that problem when I replaced my stereo, and it was a blown fuse under the hood.

My car was locked up, so I could not even turn the key to start it, which in turn left me stranded in town at 11PM trying to find a fuse that I could borrow out of my other fuse box to make my car run again.
