But UTI, you know those old muscle cars could run cross country at over 150mph and it wouldn't hurt the car at all.  No modern car can do that.
*

Depends on the engine. A modern GM, no. A modern Ford, no. A modern Mopar, HELL NO. But honestly, I'd drive a Civic Si cross country doing 150MPH and have no issues.

I do agree; however, the old iron V8s were great because they were durable.

Civic SI... Puhlease. Those things are wimpy and by the time they got to 150 they'd already be across the country.

I'm not talking about necessarily the speed or the ability of the car, but more the durability of the engine. The K20 series engines, like the 4G63 and the VQ35 of Nissan, can take a pounding and are very reliable. I have yet to see one have many issues. Sure, the car isn't THAT FAST, but at least, once you hit 150, the engine won't blow up. Make sense now?

I'll stick with my dad's Jag V-12 or his Porsche 9-11, or the supercharged V-8 (Jag also). I should have been a dentist.

i really did though.  my car has 630 hp.  i took it to the track and they told me it's so fast i need a roll cage.  i rece it on the street alot, beating these corvettes, lambos, and f-50's with ease.  my car pulls really hard.  i raced a hayabusa once and i raped him.
*

roll cage is required at most tracks in the 11.99 second range and under. you can reach into the 11's with a FWD car but ONLY on slicks. the first thing you would get kicked off a track for is not having a helmet under 13 seconds

but even with 630hp it is hard to beleive you can beat lamborghinis but a ferarri f-50???? one of the fastest production cars ever????? it sounds more like you are pulling up beside someone, smashing the throttle without them knowing you want to race and they just shrug it off not wanting to pound on their $100K+ vehicle.

man you're so full of crap. all of these corvettes, lambos and f-50's were power wheels driven by lil kids. specially the hayabusa not to mention the f-50.
