Attached ImageAttached ImageHi everyone, i just got my 2006 eclipse gt yesterday, and i installed my navigation system today. I was just going to see if anyone needed a how-to or help with wiring or anything. I noticed there aren't too many of those on this site.

Pin #14 is the vehicle speed sensor.

so the screen folds down and you put the cd like in the top of the screen and put it back up and it plays. hmm sounds interesting might wait a while and do that with my car.

Can I assume your volume paddles (on the back of the steering wheel) and the heads up display (at the top of the dash) do not work anymore?

I had thought about something like this but don't wish to lose the convenience of the steering wheel controls or the HUD.

You can buy interface kits so you can use factory steering wheel controls with aftermarket stereos.

Sorry for not posting these sooner. I edited my above post. As you can see from the pix, the only thing on the HUD you lose is the track number/ disc for the factory cd player. I used the brackets off of the factory cd player, since the factory cd player is in fact double din behind the cover. I used the standard 94+ Mitsubishi Wiring Harness. ( i think it's 94+. Any car audio place will know what your talking about). There iare also harnesses to let you use the steering wheel controls as well. It was a fairly simple install aside from running the GPS line and speed signal line. I have an ECU diagram and other pointers if any one desires them as well. The Box in 5th pic over ( the one thats kinda dark) is my IPOD adapter. Hope I've answered some of your questions.

also the wiring harness for this car is exactly the same as the previous year eclipses if any stores have any beef with finding a product #. BestBuy refused to sell me one because they told me they changed it...well its been the same since 93, and it still hasn't changed. RF systems need an aftermarket amp to work the door speakers as well.
