Hi

I am very new to posting on a car forum but we are looking to buy an automatic RVR Sports Gear V20 2L 1997 model. It is an import from Japan and has done 63K. ( we are in New Zealand)

Could you advise us on the fuel consumption, cost of running the vehicle and a reasonable price to pay for it?

Thanks
Cyndi

Hi Cindy, I have just bought a 1994 rvr 2lt with 135000ks for $3500 nz privately, had a look around at a few in car yards, and the same car on yards would bring $5000. Have a look on trademe (thats where I bought mine). The97 model got a face lift at sometime during that year, so they can bring more money with a low mileage, but one just went on trademe for $4700 no reserve, witch seemed like a good buy.
I have'nt done a lot of miles in mine yet, but am expecting 10 lt /100 klm, which is about average for a 2lt auto, but depends alot on how you drive, where you drive etc. hope this helps Gerry

Hi Cyndi

I recently bought a 2 ltr RVR, and have had a few problems with the idling. Apart from that, she goes very well and I am getting about 10 lt /100 km.
If you ever find an English owners or workshop manual for it please let me know.

I bought a Japanesse import, and I live in Mozambique.

Happy hunting.
