I have a friend who has 1989 2l auto L300 Van. Do any of you gurus know if say an 1800 Galant engine & transmission will go in without big modifications, or anything else for that matter. My friend has no workshop, so whatever is done will be done the old-fashioned hard way, we welcome any advice on this matter, thanks, Mike Broadbent. Auckland, New Zealand.

As far as I can gather, the Galant 2.0 litre also has a 4G63 engine and may only need to have the sump changed to fit an L300. Anyone know for sure?

What about a VR4? or even the 2.4 ECI from the later model?
