What are the main differences in engine for those two.

Is the smart more boosted only or a totally different story ?

I would agree with Alx, and say that their only difference is their ΕCU, and maybe not even the ECU, but the installed software !!
However, it is a bit useless, since the forfour production has stopped, and will not start again !!!

It might be possible to read a 44 ecu and flash a mitsu-ecu with the data and see what happens...

Another interesting thing is the 122HP Software for the 1.5 nonTurbo(1499ccm). This modification requires 2 different camshafts and valve springs.

I was told brabus gave it shorter air intake pipes, a freer-flowing exhaust and some electronic tweaks to raise the boost pressure
