I'm new to these forums, so I'll give everyone a quick run down on my car.
Its a 94 Lancer AWD GSR 1.8ltr turbo. It has a front mount, roughly the same size as an EVO 3, 3" exhaust with a high flow cat, and a turbosmart bleed valve.
Now for my problem! I cant get the car to boost past .8 bar (which is roughly 12 psi). I've removed the factory boost control solenoid, and set up the boost controller so the vacuum hoses run between the inlet manifold, and the wastegate. There are no boost leaks (or at least, not that I can find) The turbo is standard (TD04?) I am at a complete loss to why it wont boost over .8 bar. I've gone from having the bleed valve sitting between the compressor side of the turbo, and the wastegate, to the inlet manifold and the wastegate, and it made no difference.
Can anyone possibly shed some light onto this for me?
