Hello guys I am new to the forum but I just purchased a 2006 eclipse GT (6-speed manual) trans. I was wondering how you guys feel about the performance from a stock 3.8L V6 in the cars compared to the other imports that are out there today. Feel free to post any street racing stories you may have or anything like that

I think that they should have gotten more power out of a 3.8l v6. thats imo though. plus, the car is waaaaaaay too heavy. honestly, the wrx, evo, rsx-s, and nissans usually destroy them.

I have beaten, the rsx and the ge35... great car, needs better tires and some mods, and then it will be good. Just have to wait for the warranty to expire.

its fast as it needs to be. its not a race car; more of a gran touring car.

yeah, i wouldnt mention an RSX-S in that list of cars (unless it is highly modded).
up until my governor kicked in i was winning....
but once parts start flowing for the 4g eclipse, you'll be able to have a lighter, faster car if thats what you want. but for now, im happy with my "Gran Touring" car.

PS. thats prolly the best description i've heard yet for the eclipse.
