well i havent posted in a while but I thought id share with u guys my story. On sunday last week i was driving around i noticed that my car sounded REALLY loud at high RPMS....turns out my timing belt was coming loose. I drove probably about 30 miles stopped at a store and the car shut off in the middle of the road. long story short it gets towed to my mechanic who finds out that the timing belt got caught on some sort of balance belt, not only that but the valves were staying open and EVERY valve was bent. on top of that the cylinders continued moving even when the car shut off and so there were deep indentations where they were hitting....the mechanic said hes never seen anything this bad in his life...and hes been in business for 50 years. so hopefully by next tuesday i ll have my baby back on the road but its adding up to a pretty penny....anyone ever heard of something like this or should i write a little love letter to mitsubishi thanking them for the car lol.

Wow that really sucks, Ive never heard of that happening before either. Good luck with everything. And it was probably just a fluke with your car, I doubt they are all like that.
