Today I got the adaptor from Mitsu (MME31490
) to have AUX in.

But in fact you don't need the adaptor, just need to know the pins.

Lower row of pins in the plug are from left to right: ground, right, left =black, red, yellow.

You can try, as ground is known. I have no pinouts. My knowledge is limited to the fitting instructions delivered with the part.

The radio even remembers "AUX"-Position after ignition off.

It might also be for the telefone adaptors, because I bought a costom solution.

I used the pins from the pictures above, and connected an mp3 player to my HU, but the sound is not as loud and clear as it is from CD. Did anyone tried this?

wowee but where did you get the adaptor from? and does it come with that cool plastic bit with the built in phono jacks (where cigar lighter is) or did you make that yourself??

does it work with the mp3 mitsu radio too? or just the cd?

I bought a stereo jack cable and connected to the pins shown above.
Total price ~ 1 euro :)
I think it works with the Mitsu cd/mp3 too.

Where did you get the part from? I've been trying to find this for a while but can only see it on Italian and Swiss colt accessories lists. I tried my dealer but they looked at me blankly when I suggested I wanted to connect my mp3 player. Will it work on a 2008 CZC?

If not, I'd love to wire it up manually like bogdad1 did. How do I remove the stereo to get to the back of it? I presume I need some kind of key. any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. I'm fairly technical so happy to play with it if someone could tell me what i need.

Thanks.

You can use the special key, if you have it, or just pull out the plastic cover of the clima buttons, and then you can get a good grip of the HU and pull out too. Don't worry, you can't break anything! Next step is to insert the wires in the coupling, or open the HU metal case and solder. It' very easy!

i got it out using spoon handles and force. took a bit of trying but it came out eventually. i've hashed the wires in with a bit of selotape and a lot of hope (i couldn't find the right size crimps), but it works and sounds excellent.

why on earth didnt they just put the aux input on the front? it surely wouldn't have cost them much more to do. some cars (nissan micra) use ipod compatibility as a major selling point.

Do you know what keys will fit?

I could just be being very stupid here, but for the life of me I can't see where this plastic cover is removable. Can you give me a clue?

Cheers.

Hi,

I don't know if you can help me on this. I know this guide says european versions only but i noticed that some people from the UK have tried it so I gave it a go. I got the head unit out on my 2006 CZ1, but I do not have the 3 cables on my loom that you have connected to.
I did however try connecting 3 iso crimps into the connecter and linking them into the stereo 3.5mm lack i installed. The problem is that i get no audio out of them, and the head unit doesn't even seem to respond to the input.
Does the head unit switch to AUX manually, or do you have to select it somehow, or is this not possible on a UK CZ1, or do I have to have an adaptor loom to do this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ian
