Im not big on street racing, causes nothin but trouble in my view. I have put my all-stock 95 lebaron against a 98 civic with a few mods. my 3.0L 6G72 sohc mitsu engine was able to leave the civic in the dust, even tho mines auto, the civic was a 5spd.

Two nights ago, tho, me and my friend (95 accord), were lined up at a light. we werent gonna race but we were lined up and tlkn and revvin a bit, and when the light went green and we started off, a state trooper who had been watchin us at the light pulled both of us for "racing on the highway." its b.s. tho cuz neither of us had any intentions of street racing, we were just being stupid and goofin off. we hadnt been speedin or anything, we just looked like we were about to race.

so now, we both have the same court date and face some pretty serious stuff. the d.a. for our county is pretty strict, but im hopin the judge will see it our way. the charge could land both of us a 5-90 day jail term, 6mos suspension, driving classes, community service....not to mention court costs and insurance. im just hopin the district attorney will go for a settlement and have us do community service and driving classes in return for the charges being dropped and ticket erased (our first offense). but til the court date im not allowed to drive alone, and depending on if we get an attorney (good idea) and how much it costs, i might end up sellin my baby to pay for it.

moral of the story: DONT EVEN LOOK LIKE UR GONNA STREET RACE!

Good luck.

This is why everyone should have a pre-paid legal program that they are involved with. I needed an attorney to deal with a contractor and on my own I would have never hired one, since they are $350/ hour where I live. BUT, with pre-paid legal, I paid $75/hour! Granted, it costs $25/month but I far exceeded the break even point.
Good luck with court!
