Hi,

Firstly, hello! This is my first post so please be gentle :)

My SpaceWagon has started showing a light on the dashboard that I don't understand. It looks like it's some sort of reservoir tank and it's orange! I can post a picture if need be.

Anyone know what it is?

Thanks

you have not said what engine.if it is diesel then it could be your water in fuel light.which generally means it needs draining although I personally just change them(fuel filter that is).other than that check the normals as this is a level indication light.try your brake fluid and screenwash although brake fluid usually turns on the handbrake light as well

It could be your headlight washer bottle. On my Glxi petrol it is situated under the Bonnet ,on Drvers side, just behind the Headlight. The top is about 2cm in diameter.

Thanks both, it's a petrol engine. I'll check the headlight washer bottle and report back.

Thanks again

OK, I've checked the washer bottle and it was only down about an inch so I've topped it up and still the light is on. Could it be a faulty sensor on the bottle? Or is there another bottle somewhere?

is it just slightly right of centre close to the bottom of the clocks? this could be the check engine light - this will light up if you have a sensor fault or similar - post a pic if you can to confirm this.

Without seeing the actual light it could be the cat convertor light.

Basicly when there is a lot of carbon buildup over this sensor which is located in the exhaust system this light will stay on.

Also if the wire is removed from the sensor the light will stay on.

Orange light is generaly a general warning light. Where as a red one requires urgent attention.
