I've got a friend out here who is a paint and body guy. I'm going to either paint my 98 Diamante White with Silver metal flake in it, or a nice Dark grey metallic. My buddy quoted me $1800 USD for just the materials. Primer, Paint Stabilizer, Paint and Clearcoat. I think thats getting everything from Napa. He's been in the business of restoring Classic cars for about 25 years.. Everything from Model A's up. If you want, send me a private message and I'll give you his name and phone number. He'll tell you right off the bat that you'd be better off paying someone to paint it as it's an art, but he'll still give you an idea of what's involved.

My suggestion is go buy a book that talks about painting cars, because there is too much to type. You're better off just buying a book for the DIY (do it yourself) person. I know you're going to need a good sprayer and compressor. It's hard to get a good paint job without a properly vented place to do it, I'm talking huge exhaust fans with filters. There are lots of steps that go into painting a car. Lots of prep work.
